Biography
Charles Haid is an American actor and television director. Born on 2 June 1943 in San Francisco, California, he trained at Carnegie Mellon University, where he met producer Steven Bochco.
He is known for playing Officer Andy Renko in the series Hill Street Blues (1981–1987) and for acting roles in Altered States (1980) as Mason Parrish and Nightbreed (1990) as Captain Eigerman. Haid has directed episodes of numerous series, including ER, Nip/Tuck, Sons of Anarchy, Criminal Minds, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Grimm and Breaking Bad (2009). An episode of ER earned him a Directors Guild of America Award.
