Biography
Tawnia McKiernan is an American television director and producer. Born on 12 November 1968 in Altadena, California, she is the daughter of television producer Stephen J. Cannell.
She began directing in the mid-1990s with episodes of Renegade and Silk Stalkings, both produced by her father. Her credits include episodes of NYPD Blue (2002–2004), ER (2004–2008) and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008–2009).
McKiernan has directed for many other series including The Walking Dead, Cobra Kai, Bones, The Mentalist and Criminal Minds. In 2012 she directed the television film Secrets of Eden. She is a co-chair of the Directors Guild of America Women's Steering Committee.
