Biography
Jason Butler Harner is an American actor. He was born on 9 October 1970 in Elmira, New York, and grew up in northern Virginia. He holds a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Harner began his career in theatre, appearing in productions including the Broadway premiere of Tom Stoppard’s The Coast of Utopia and the West End revival of The Crucible. His film roles include Gordon Northcott in Changeling (2008). On television he is known for playing FBI Special Agent Roy Petty in Ozark (2017–2018), as well as appearances in The Walking Dead, The Handmaid’s Tale and Rabbit Hole.
