Biography
Jay Hurley was a costume designer who worked primarily in Chicago film and television. He began his career in 1975 as a costumer on the film Mahogany and went on to design costumes for nearly three decades.
Hurley received his first solo costume design credit on Vice Versa (1988). He designed the costumes for Home Alone (1990) and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992), both directed by Chris Columbus, as well as Jingle All the Way (1996) and Nine Months (1995). He frequently collaborated with his husband and business partner, costumer Mickey Antonetti.
Hurley died of a heart attack on 16 July 2023, aged 75.
