Biography
Jeb Stuart is an American screenwriter, film director and producer. Born on 21 January 1956 in Little Rock, Arkansas, he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a master's degree in communications from Stanford University. He has taught in the Writing for Stage and Screen Program at Northwestern University.
His screenplays include Die Hard (1988, co-written with Steven E. de Souza), Leviathan (1989), Lock Up (1989), The Fugitive (1993, co-written with David Twohy), Just Cause (1995) and Fire Down Below (1997). He created and wrote for the Netflix series Vikings: Valhalla (2022–2024) and wrote the miniseries The Liberator (2020). He directed Switchback (1997) and Blood Done Sign My Name (2010). Stuart has been nominated for Writers Guild of America and Edgar Allan Poe awards for his screenplays.
