Biography
Jerome Ranft is a character sculptor and voice actor at Pixar Animation Studios. Born on 23 November 1966 in Los Angeles County, California, he joined Pixar in 1997 after earlier work as a sculptor on Disney films including James and the Giant Peach (1996). He has contributed sculptures to numerous Pixar productions, among them A Bug's Life (1998), Toy Story 2 (1999), Monsters, Inc. (2001), Finding Nemo (2003), Cars (2006), Ratatouille (2007), Brave (2012) and Inside Out (2015).
Ranft provided the voice of Gamma in the feature film Up (2009) and the short Dug's Special Mission (2009). He later voiced Jacques in Finding Dory (2016), a role originated by his brother, the late Pixar story artist Joe Ranft. He has also supplied voices for characters including Red in the Cars Toons series.
