Biography
Jim Dauterive is an American television writer and producer. Born in Dallas, Texas, he studied at the University of Texas and Harvard University. He worked for ten years as an advertising copywriter in Philadelphia before joining the animated series King of the Hill as a writer at its inception in 1996.
Dauterive served as a writer and later executive producer on King of the Hill (1997–2010), contributing to numerous episodes. He subsequently worked on Bob's Burgers (2011–present) as a writer, developer and executive producer. He has received three Primetime Emmy Awards.
