Biography

Jim Williams is a British composer and guitarist. He has composed scores for feature films including four directed by Ben Wheatley: Down Terrace (2009), Kill List (2011), Sightseers (2012) and A Field in England (2013).

His other film work includes Julia Ducournau’s Raw (2016) and Titane (2021), Beast (2018), Brandon Cronenberg’s Possessor (2020), Resurrection (2022) and House of Spoils (2024). His score for Raw received a César Award nomination for Best Original Music, and the score for Beast a BIFA nomination for Best Music.

Williams has also composed for British television series including Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, Hotel Babylon, Lock, Stock... and Minder, and received an Ivor Novello Award nomination for his work on Hotel Babylon.
