Biography
Ben Wheatley is an English film director, screenwriter, editor and animator. Born in Billericay, Essex, he began his career in advertising and short films before making his feature debut with Down Terrace (2009).
He is known for films including Kill List (2011), Sightseers (2012), High-Rise (2015), Free Fire (2016), Rebecca (2020) and In the Earth (2021). Wheatley has also directed episodes of Doctor Who (2005) and the studio film Meg 2: The Trench (2023). He frequently collaborates with screenwriter Amy Jump.
