Biography
Jimmy Gambina is an American actor and boxing trainer. He was born on 3 May 1943 in Hollywood, California. His father worked in boxing, and Gambina began training fighters at a young age before moving into film work as a technical advisor and fight choreographer.
He played the role of Mike, a trainer at Mickey’s gym, in the 1976 film Rocky, on which he also served as technical advisor. He later appeared as Jimmy in Rocky V (1990) and worked in similar capacities on films including Saturday Night Fever (1977), The Champ (1979), Raging Bull (1980) and Snake Eyes (1998). He has additional credits in television series such as Mission: Impossible and Highway to Heaven.
