Biography
Talia Shire is an American actress. Born Talia Rose Coppola on 25 April 1946 in Lake Success, New York, she is the sister of filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola and a member of the Coppola family.
She is known for playing Connie Corleone Rizzi in The Godfather (1972), The Godfather Part II (1974) and The Godfather Part III (1990), and Adrian Pennino Balboa in the Rocky series (1976–1990). She appeared as Constance Crassus Catilina in Megalopolis (2024).
Shire received Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress for The Godfather Part II and Best Actress for Rocky, as well as a Golden Globe Award nomination for the latter. She trained briefly at the Yale School of Drama and began her film career in low-budget productions before her breakthrough roles.
