Biography
Joe Mande is an American comedian, actor, writer and producer. Born on 16 March 1983 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he moved to St Paul, Minnesota, as a child and graduated from Central High School in 2001. He received a BFA in writing from Emerson College in Boston.
Mande began his career in stand-up and online with the website Look at This Fucking Hipster. He wrote for the final three seasons of the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation (2012–2015), in which he also appeared as Morris Lerpiss, and contributed to The Good Place (2016–2020) as writer and producer while recurring as Toddrick Hemple. He has written episodes of and recurred as Ray on the Max series Hacks (2021–), for which he shared a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2024. He has also acted in films including The Interview (2014) and The Disaster Artist (2017), and released comedy specials and an album.
