Biography
Joe Stillman is an American screenwriter. Before his feature work he contributed to television series including Beavis and Butt-Head, King of the Hill, Doug and The Adventures of Pete & Pete. His early film credits include production assistant on Home Movies (1980) and assistant editor on Creepshow (1982).
Stillman co-wrote the screenplay for Shrek (2001), for which he shared a BAFTA Film Award and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. He also wrote the screenplay for Shrek 2 (2004) and contributed to Beavis and Butt-Head Do America (1996), Joseph: King of Dreams (2000), Planet 51 (2009) and Gulliver's Travels (2010).
