Biography
John Eisendrath is an American television writer and producer. He began his career in journalism, working as a producer at WBBM-TV in Chicago before moving into scripted television in the late 1980s.
He contributed as a writer to series including Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990), Felicity (1998) and Alias (2001), on which he also served as executive producer. Eisendrath created and acted as showrunner for Playmakers (2003), Outlaw (2010) and The Blacklist (2013), and has worked on Alert: Missing Persons Unit (2023). He has maintained a long association with producer J. J. Abrams.
Eisendrath is a Brown University alumnus and has taught screenwriting there. He is married to writer Jennifer Levin.
