Biography
John Goldstone is a British film producer. He began his career in 1961 as a production assistant on A Kind of Loving and later worked as personal assistant to producer Joseph Janni on several films including Billy Liar, Darling and Far from the Madding Crowd. His first credit as producer was Three Sisters (1970), directed by Laurence Olivier.
Goldstone has maintained a long association with the Monty Python team. He served as executive producer on Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) and producer on Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979) and Monty Python's The Meaning of Life (1983). Other credits include associate producer on The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), producer on Shock Treatment (1981), executive producer on Jabberwocky (1977) and producer on Erik the Viking (1989) and the live-action The Wind in the Willows (1996).
He produced Carry On Columbus (1992) and created The Comedy House in 1990 with funding from Twentieth Century-Fox to support British comedy talent. He is married to Linda Seifert.
