Biography
John M. Vitale is an American editor born on 21 March 1973 in Evanston, Illinois. He began his career as an apprentice editor for director John Hughes and later worked as an assistant editor on films shot in Chicago.
Vitale moved to Los Angeles to complete work on My Best Friend's Wedding (1997). His editing credits include Home Alone 3 (1997), The Hunted (2003) and Senior Skip Day (2008), as well as episodes of the series Halt and Catch Fire (2014), Unforgettable (2011–2016) and SEAL Team (2017–2024). He has also edited feature films including The Comeback Trail (2020) and The Throwback (2024). He resides in Los Angeles.
