Biography
John Merritt (1920–1999) was a British film and television editor. Born in London on 9 June 1920, he died in Bristol on 6 July 1999.
He collaborated repeatedly with director John Boorman, editing Zardoz (1974) and Excalibur (1981), and working on Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977). His other credits include television documentaries such as episodes of Citizen 63 (1963) and The Lively Arts (1979), as well as directing and writing an episode of the series Ten Years On (1973).
