Biography
John Oliver is a British-American comedian, actor and writer. Born on 23 April 1977 in Erdington, Birmingham, he trained at Christ's College, Cambridge, where he was a member of the Footlights.
He is known for his work as a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, for which he won an Emmy in 2009, and as host of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver since 2014. He played the recurring character Professor Ian Duncan on the series Community (2009–2015). Oliver has collaborated extensively with Andy Zaltzman on stand-up, podcasts and radio series including The Bugle.
