Biography
John Paxton was an American actor. He appeared in supporting roles in several films and television series from the mid-1990s onwards.
He is best known for playing Mr. Schmitt in A Simple Plan (1998), and Houseman in Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007). Other credits include Oz the Great and Powerful (2013), Drag Me to Hell (2009) and Frailty (2002).
Paxton was the father of actor Bill Paxton. He began his screen career late in life after working in business.
