Biography

Jon Hutman is an American production designer. He earned a degree in architecture from Yale University and studied scenic design, painting and lighting at the Yale School of Drama.

Hutman has designed sets for numerous films, including Heathers (1988), A River Runs Through It (1992), Quiz Show (1994), The Horse Whisperer (1998), Coyote Ugly (2000) and Rock of Ages (2012). He has served as production designer on all films directed by Nancy Meyers since What Women Want (2000), as well as The Tourist (2010), In the Land of Blood and Honey (2011) and Unbroken (2014).

In 2000 he shared a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Art Direction for a Single-Camera Series for his work on the pilot of The West Wing. He directed the 2001 episode 'Gone Quiet' of the series and an episode of Gideon's Crossing.
