Biography

Josefin Åsberg is a Swedish production designer and art director. She was born on 30 July 1974 in Älvsborg, Sweden.

She began working in film as an assistant art director on Together (2000) and took on production design duties for Lilya 4-ever (2002), both directed by Lukas Moodysson. She has collaborated repeatedly with Ruben Östlund on Force Majeure (2014), The Square (2017) and Triangle of Sadness (2022).

For The Square, Åsberg received the Vulcan Award at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival and the European Film Award for Best Production Designer. She has received several Guldbagge Award nominations for production design.
