Biography
Justin Monjo (born 1963) is an American screenwriter, television producer and former actor. He graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney in 1985, alongside Catherine McClements, Sonia Todd and Baz Luhrmann, and worked as an actor for a decade before focusing on writing.
Monjo is best known for his work on the science-fiction series Farscape (1999), for which he wrote 14 episodes and served as creative consultant and co-executive producer. His screenplays include Jungle (2017) and the 2019 remake of Storm Boy. He has also adapted works for stage and screen, including Tim Winton’s Cloudstreet (with Nick Enright) and the INXS miniseries Never Tear Us Apart (2014).
