Biography
K Callan is an American actress. Born Katherine Elizabeth Borman in Dallas, Texas, she began her professional career at the Margo Jones Theatre there and first gained national attention for her role in the 1970 film Joe.
Her television work includes the recurring role of Martha Kent in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993–1997) and guest appearances in series such as All in the Family, How I Met Your Mother, Veep and Grey's Anatomy. Film credits include American Gigolo (1980) and Knives Out (2019). In 2026 she played Ruth in the Apple TV+ series Widow's Bay.
Callan has also written books on the acting profession and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Television Academy.
