Biography
Karen Wakefield is a British production designer and art director. She has worked extensively in the art department on feature films and television series, with credits including art direction on Prometheus (2012), Robin Hood (2010), The Duchess (2008) and Babylon A.D. (2008).
She served as supervising art director on the miniseries Chernobyl (2019), for which she shared a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program. Wakefield has also worked as production designer on Together (2021) and Lady Chatterley's Lover (2022).
Her earlier credits include set decoration and art direction roles on films such as Shaun of the Dead (2004) and Mr. Bean's Holiday (2007).
