Biography
Karey Dornetto is an American screenwriter. She was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, and studied finance at the University of South Carolina. After working at Bank of America and with the comedy group The Perch, she moved to Los Angeles and began her television writing career on South Park in 2002.
Dornetto has written for Arrested Development (2005–2006), Community (2010–2011), Portlandia (2012–2018) and Fallout (2024), on which she also served as co-executive producer. She wrote the screenplay for the feature film Addicted to Fresno (2015). She has received multiple Emmy nominations, including for Outstanding Drama Series for Fallout.
Dornetto is married to director Jamie Babbit.
