Biography
Karyn Usher is an American television writer and producer. She began her career with production assistant and set dresser roles on films before moving into writing staff positions on series including Citizen Baines (2000–2001), Presidio Med (2003), The Lyon's Den (2003) and North Shore (2004–2005). She also served as executive story editor and writer on One Tree Hill (2003).
Usher wrote twelve episodes of Prison Break (2005–2009) and produced twenty-four episodes, advancing from co-producer to co-executive producer across the series' four seasons. She later wrote episodes of and co-executive produced forty-five episodes of Bones (2009–2011). Subsequent credits include writing and producing on Touch (2012–2013), The Rook (2019) and 56 Days (2026), where she served as showrunner. In 2016 she co-founded Carpool Entertainment with Lisa Zwerling.
