Biography
Sanford Bookstaver is an American film and television director and producer. Born on 1 September 1973 in New York City, he graduated from the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television in 1995. His feature directorial debut was the 1999 film Scriptfellas.
Bookstaver has directed numerous episodes of prime-time series, including five episodes of House (2004) between 2010 and 2012. Other credits include Prison Break (2005), Bones (2005), White Collar (2009), Chicago Fire (2012), Scorpion (2014), Marvel's Jessica Jones (2015), Marvel's Iron Fist (2017) and Dexter: New Blood (2021). He has also worked as a producer on series such as Cane (2007).
He is married to actress Rena Sofer.
