Biography
Kat Coiro is an American film and television director. She directed an episode of the series Shameless (2011) in 2018, as well as episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013), Modern Family (2009), Dead to Me (2019) and The Mick (2017). Her feature film credits include Marry Me (2022).
Coiro was born on 17 September 1979 in New York City. She trained in theatre at Carnegie Mellon University and the Moscow Art Theatre, and was a fellow in the directing programme at the American Film Institute. She is married to actor Rhys Coiro.
