Biography
Kevin Conway was an American actor and film director. Born in New York City on 29 May 1942, he worked as an IBM sales analyst before beginning his acting career at the age of 24. He trained at the Dramatic Workshop at Carnegie Hall and at HB Studio in Greenwich Village.
Conway had an extensive stage career, appearing on Broadway in productions including Indians (1969), Of Mice and Men (1974 revival) and Dinner at Eight (2002 revival), and off-Broadway in When You Comin' Back, Red Ryder? (for which he received a Drama Desk Award in 1974) and The Elephant Man. His film roles included Roland Weary in Slaughterhouse-Five (1972), Eugene Dred in The Quick and the Dead (1995), Gen. Curtis LeMay in Thirteen Days (2000), and Frank Papale in Invincible (2006). He also appeared in television series such as Oz and Person of Interest, and provided the control voice for the revived The Outer Limits (1995–2002). Conway died in Manhattan on 5 February 2020.
