Biography
Kurt Swanson is a costume designer who works as part of the duo Kurt and Bart with Bart Mueller. The pair met in 1983 at the University of Colorado in Boulder and have collaborated for nearly forty years, initially through fashion design, styling and music videos before moving into film.
They are known for their work on Dallas Buyers Club (2013), Stoker (2013), The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 (2014) and Part 2 (2015), Ghost in the Shell (2017), Deadpool 2 (2018), Finch (2021), Black Adam (2022) and Babygirl (2024). They have also designed costumes for the television series Foundation (2021).
