Biography
L. Scott Caldwell (born Laverne Scott, 17 April 1950) is an American actress. She is known for her role as Rose Nadler in the television series Lost (2004–2010) and as Deputy US Marshal Erin Poole in the film The Fugitive (1993). She won the 1988 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her performance as Bertha Holly in August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone on Broadway.
Caldwell was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She earned a bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts and Communications from Loyola University Chicago. Her stage work includes Broadway appearances in Home (1980), Proposals (1997) and other productions, as well as numerous off-Broadway and regional credits.
Her film credits include Without a Trace (1983), Waiting to Exhale (1995), The Net (1995) and Mystery, Alaska (1999). On television she has appeared in series including Grey's Anatomy, The Good Doctor, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Rookie.
