Biography
Lara Pulver is an English actress. She was born on 1 September 1980 in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, and grew up near Sevenoaks, Kent. She trained at the National Youth Music Theatre and graduated from Bird College in 2000 with a BA Hons in theatre and performing arts.
Pulver began her career in musical theatre. She received a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical for her role in the 2007–2008 Donmar Warehouse production of Parade, which she later reprised in Los Angeles. In 2016 she won the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for the West End revival of Gypsy.
Her screen credits include Robin Hood (2008), True Blood (2010), Sherlock (2012–2014) as Irene Adler, Da Vinci's Demons (2013–2015), Edge of Tomorrow (2014), Underworld: Blood Wars (2016) and MobLand (2025) as Bella Harrigan. She has also appeared in voice roles including The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf (2021).
