Biography
Larry Barber is an American television writer and producer. He was born in New York City and is of Guatemalan descent. He grew up in Mexico, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica, and is fluent in Spanish.
Barber has written episodes for series including The X-Files (1994), 21 Jump Street (1989–1990), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990), Andromeda (2003–2005), Nash Bridges (2000) and First Wave (1998). He has also worked as a producer on several of these programmes. He frequently collaborated with his brother, Paul Barber.
His writing credits include the X-Files episode 'Gender Bender'. Barber and his fellow X-Files writers received a Writers Guild of America recognition as contributors to one of the 101 best written television series. He has also received an Imagen Award for positive portrayal of Latinos in the media.
