Biography
Larry Block (born Lawrence Joel Block) was an American stage, film, television and radio actor. He was born in New York City on 30 October 1942 and died there on 7 October 2012.
Block graduated with a B.A. in English from the University of Rhode Island in 1964. His film roles include the Peterboro Referee in Slap Shot (1977), Peters in Heaven Can Wait (1978), the Taxi Driver in After Hours (1985), the Bar Owner in Cocktail (1988) and Man in Restaurant in Big Night (1996). He appeared on Sesame Street and made frequent contributions to Joe Frank's radio programmes. Block also worked extensively in theatre.
