Biography
Lars-Owe Carlberg was a Swedish production manager and producer. Born on 31 August 1923 in Karlskrona, he began his career as a script supervisor in the mid-1940s and worked as a unit manager and location manager at Sandrews throughout the 1950s.
In 1960 he joined Svensk Filmindustri, where he began a long collaboration with Ingmar Bergman. He served as production manager or producer on numerous Bergman films, including Persona (1966), Hour of the Wolf (1968), Shame (1968), The Passion of Anna (1969), Cries and Whispers (1972) and Scenes from a Marriage (1974). He also appeared in small acting roles in several of Bergman's films. Carlberg died on 23 July 1988 in Eslöv. He was awarded the Ingmar Bergman Award posthumously in 1989.
