Biography

Laurence Mark is an American film and television producer. Born in New York City, he was educated at Wesleyan University and New York University, where he earned an M.A. in Cinema Studies. He began his career with an internship at United Artists and later held executive positions in marketing and production at Paramount Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox before founding Laurence Mark Productions.

Mark produced Jerry Maguire (1996), which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. His other credits include As Good as It Gets (1997), I, Robot (2004), Dreamgirls (2006), Julie & Julia (2009) and The Greatest Showman (2017). He received an Emmy nomination as executive producer of the television series Political Animals (2012).
