Biography
Lee Isaac Chung (born 19 October 1978) is an American filmmaker. His debut feature, Munyurangabo (2007), premiered as an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival and was the first narrative feature film in the Kinyarwanda language.
Chung wrote and directed the semi-autobiographical drama Minari (2020), which received a Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film and nominations for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay at the 93rd Academy Awards. He directed an episode of the third season of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian (2023) and the disaster film Twisters (2024).
