Biography
Lee Poll (1922–2008) was an American set decorator and costume designer. Based in New York, she assisted Broadway and film costume designers early in her career. She contributed to The Lion in Winter (1968), assisting with costumes and set logistics during production difficulties on the film produced by her then-husband Martin Poll.
Poll worked as a set decorator on films including Breaking Away (1979), Places in the Heart (1984), Steel Magnolias (1989), The Karate Kid Part II (1986) and Sleeping with the Enemy (1991). She served as set decorator on 88 episodes of the television series Murder, She Wrote (1992–1996) and received Emmy nominations for her television work. In 2006 she was awarded a lifetime achievement award by the Set Decorators Society of America.
