Biography

Leota Lorraine (1899–1974) was an American actress. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, she appeared in silent films from 1915 as a leading lady and supporting player, with credits including The Promise (1917) and The Woman I Love (1929).

Following the introduction of sound, she took minor, often uncredited parts. A period as stand-in for Mary Boland resulted in her casting as Boland's sister, Mrs Belknap-Jackson, in Ruggles of Red Gap (1935).

She continued in uncredited roles in later films such as Singin' in the Rain (1952), All About Eve (1950) and Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961). She was married to Robert F. Lakenan Jr.
