Biography
Lewis Gould, also credited as Lewis H. Gould, is a director, producer and production manager. He worked extensively on the NBC series Law & Order (1990), serving as producer on numerous episodes between 1992 and 2003 and directing ten episodes across seasons five to twelve, including "Wannabe", "Pro Se" and "Dazzled".
Earlier in his career he worked as a second assistant director and first assistant director on feature films including Blow Out (1981), The King of Comedy (1982), Moonstruck (1987) and Wise Guys (1986). He has also directed episodes of Medium (2005), Judging Amy (1999) and Close to Home (2005–2007), and second-unit work on Daredevil.
Gould received a Primetime Emmy Award and multiple nominations for producing Law & Order, as well as a Producers Guild of America Award and a Directors Guild of America Award. He produced and directed the documentary Karmu: A Place In The Sun, and his son Nicholas W. Gould (Nik Tyler) has appeared in episodes of Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
