Biography
Lex duPont is an American cinematographer and camera operator. He was born in Wilmington, Delaware.
He began his career in the camera department on feature films including River's Edge (1986), Eight Men Out (1988), Home Alone (1990) and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994). He later worked as a camera operator on NYPD Blue from 1993.
DuPont served as director of photography on NYPD Blue (1996–2005), Private Practice (2007–2013), The Night Shift (2014–2015) and Chicago Med (2015–2021). He has also shot episodes of Saving Grace, Raines and Lincoln Heights, and feature films such as Saving Shiloh (2006). He has been a member of the American Society of Cinematographers since 2009.
