Biography
Liz Friedman is an American television writer and producer. She began her career as an assistant to producer and director Sam Raimi, leading to early work on Renaissance Pictures productions including Xena: Warrior Princess (1995), where she wrote and produced episodes, and Young Hercules, which she co-created.
She later wrote for series including The O.C. (2003) and Numb3rs (2005) before joining the writing staff of House (2004) in its second season. Friedman co-wrote the pilot episode of Orange Is the New Black (2013) with Jenji Kohan and received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series in 2014. She has also contributed to Marvel's Jessica Jones (2015) and The Good Doctor (2017).
Friedman graduated from the Winsor School in Boston and Wesleyan University, where she earned a degree in sociology.
