Biography
Jace Alexander (born Jason Edward Alexander) is an American television director and former actor. Born on 7 April 1964 in New York City, he is the son of actress Jane Alexander and stepson of director Edwin Sherin. He studied at the American Film Institute in the early 1990s and began directing for television after an acting career that included stage roles and film appearances such as Eight Men Out (1988) and Clueless (1995).
His directing credits include episodes of Law & Order (1990), Xena: Warrior Princess (1995), Homicide: Life on the Street (1993), House (2004) and Rescue Me (2004), as well as pilots for Burn Notice (2007) and Warehouse 13 (2009). He directed more than 30 episodes of Law & Order and 18 of Rescue Me. Alexander served as second vice-president of the Directors Guild of America until resigning in 2015 following his arrest on child pornography charges, to which he later pleaded guilty.
