Biography
Lorraine Senna is an American film and television director. She began her career as an assistant director in the late 1970s and early 1980s, working on the film Somewhere in Time (1980) and the series Knots Landing. She made her directorial debut on Knots Landing, directing multiple episodes of the series between 1982 and 1992.
Senna directed episodes of numerous television series, including Dynasty (1981), Falcon Crest (1981), Babylon 5 (1994), Northern Exposure (1990), Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993), Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1993) and Picket Fences. In 1999 she directed the episode 'Down Neck' of The Sopranos, and is the only woman to have directed an episode of the series. From the mid-1990s she directed several television films, and later the feature films Paradise, Texas (2006) and Americanizing Shelley (2007). Her credits span from 1978 to 2007.
