Biography
Louis F. Edelman (18 May 1900 – 6 January 1976) was an American screenwriter and producer. He began his career with writing credits including Shipmates (1931) and Flirtation Walk (1934), then moved into production at Warner Bros. in the mid-1930s after earlier work at MGM.
Edelman produced or supervised dozens of films through the early 1950s, including Here Comes the Navy (1934), G Men (1935), Bullets or Ballots (1936), Marked Woman (1937), Jezebel (1938), You Were Never Lovelier (1942), White Heat (1949) and Operation Pacific (1951). He received an Academy Award nomination for White Heat as both writer and producer. He also created or produced television series such as The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp (1955–1961), The Danny Thomas Show and The Big Valley.
