Biography

Louis R. Loeffler was an American film editor. He worked on more than one hundred films over a career spanning five decades.

His credits include In Old Arizona (1928), Laura (1944), How to Marry a Millionaire (1953), River of No Return (1954), The Man with the Golden Arm (1955), The Long, Hot Summer (1958), Anatomy of a Murder (1959), Exodus (1960) and The Comancheros (1961). He received Academy Award nominations for film editing on Anatomy of a Murder and The Cardinal (1963).

Loeffler was born in New York City on 24 February 1897 and died in Hollywood, California, on 22 April 1972.
