Biography
Lowell Ganz (born 31 August 1948) is an American screenwriter and producer. He began his career writing for television sitcoms such as The Odd Couple and Happy Days, and co-created the spin-off series Laverne & Shirley and Joanie Loves Chachi.
Ganz is the long-time writing partner of Babaloo Mandel. Their screenplays include Night Shift (1982), Splash (1984), Parenthood (1989), City Slickers (1991) and A League of Their Own (1992). Ganz received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay for Splash.
Their later credits include Robots (2005) and Fever Pitch (2005). The pair have also worked as script doctors.
