Biography
Lucille Bliss (also credited as Lucille Theresa Bliss) was an American actress and voice artist. A New York City native, she began in old-time radio before moving into animation and television.
Her first major film credit was voicing the stepsister Anastasia in Walt Disney's Cinderella (1950). She later provided voices for characters including Crusader Rabbit (the lead in the first made-for-television cartoon series), Smurfette in The Smurfs (1981), and Ms. Bitters in Invader ZIM (2001). Other film roles include voices in Alice in Wonderland (1951), One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961), The Secret of NIMH (1982) and Robots (2005).
Bliss received a Young Artist Award lifetime achievement honour in 2000 for her work on Cinderella and a Winsor McCay Award from the International Animated Film Society.
