Biography
Luke Perry was an American actor, born Coy Luther Perry III on 11 October 1966 in Mansfield, Ohio. He moved to Los Angeles in 1984 to pursue acting and gained early television roles before his breakthrough as Dylan McKay in the series Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–1995 and 1998–2000).
Perry later starred as Fred Andrews in Riverdale (2017–2019). His other credits include appearances in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992), The Fifth Element (1997) and guest roles in series such as Criminal Minds and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. His final feature film performance was as Wayne Maunder in Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019).
Perry died on 4 March 2019 in Burbank, California, aged 52, from complications following a stroke.
