Biography
Lydia Marks is a New York-based set decorator and production designer. She studied documentary photography at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. After working in the photography departments of museums including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, she moved into set decoration for film and television.
Her credits as set decorator include The Devil Wears Prada (2006), Sex and the City (2008), Synecdoche, New York (2008), Money Monster (2016), Paterson (2016) and Broken Flowers (2005). She received production design credit on tick, tick... BOOM! (2021). Marks has also worked on television series including Fosse/Verdon (2019) and Maniac (2018). She has won a Daytime Emmy Award, received a Primetime Emmy nomination and two Art Directors Guild Award nominations, and runs her own interior design firm, Lydia Marks Design, since 2008.
